Elements of Art and Design
Composition: it is how things are arranged in a photo. it can be symetrical or asymetrical. both work for different types of photos.
Line: is a point moving in space. lines lead a person in a picture or out of a picture can be good or bad. they can make or break a photo.
Shape: is a 2d object. doesnt show depth and is defined by lines and has a height and width.
Form: is and object that is defined by depth and has weight and a feel of 3demensions
Space: is a sense of demensions or a lack thereof. can be defined by a subject on a plain background.
Color: is light bouncing off objects. is as varied as from black to white. can be bright or dull, bright or dark, cool or warm.
Texture: gives a sense of how an object will feel.
Value: depicts how bright a color is, and sets a mood.

My Favorite picture is either the basketball or the profile portrait. they both are very heavy in form and don't have as much narrative. i like the basketball because it, to me, is the essence of the assignment with the blur in front and the back. the end

I wish I had my camera
One time that I remember wishing i had my camera was the other day. I was walking to school in the morning after it had rained and there were puddles everywhere. I stopped and looked at some of them but didn't really like anything i saw (not that I had a camera anyway). Then I saw a would be picture that I thought would be very cool. there was a pretty tall sign right in front of a very long puddle. I saw it and instantly thought to take a pano from the front of the pond, which perfectly framed the sign in it, all the way up to the top of the sign. But I didn't have a camera with me... darn it. Oh well. lesson learned the hard way i guess.
